You may think of your brain as the thinking organ in your head. But the whole nervous system is actually considered the brain, and it extends throughout the body, along the spinal cord and into the rest of the organs. In this class, we will pair yoga poses with breathing practices to nourish our nervous system and quell stress and anxiety, using forward folds, twists, shoulder openers, and a restorative inversion. As we synchronize the body, mind, and breath, we begin to arrive—back in the present—where we can feel more calm, centered, and at home.
