standing in your true power: a deep listening meditation
“The only reason we don’t open our hearts and minds to other people is that they trigger confusion in us that we don’t feel brave enough or sane enough to deal with. To the degree that we look clearly and compassionately at ourselves, we feel confident and fearless about looking into someone else’s eyes.”
When we discuss power, we aren't referring to the act of conquering or dominating. We are talking about our ability to be with our fear and courage, simultaneously. Power is the capacity to be with what is happening (within and around us) in the moment — all in service of responding with compassion, moving us toward peace, and not adding to the aggression. Our superpower allows us to hold space for ourselves and each other.
